the origin story

desert mvmt is what you get when you put an Aries and a Pisces in a room together for an entire pandemic. We’re half kidding ☺ We, the desert mvmt owners, Sara Gaddy and Alex Loda became fast friends while teaching fitness together in Phoenix, Arizona in 2017. A mutual love for live music, the AZ desert and puppies brought us together and we haven’t stopped dancing, laughing or spitballing ideas since.

the desert mvmt studio was born out of a shared desire for a local space where relationships grow and our people (read: all people) feel safe, sustained and inspired. we lead with kindness, body positivity, gratitude and a FIRE playlist, always.
